René has been a performer, storyteller, and writer since she was a kid, with a history in dance, theater, and vocal performance. As an adult she branched out into commercials, voiceovers and independent films. She has spent the majority of her non-performance based professional life working in jobs that are customer service, retail, educational, or administrative based. Due to this variety she is of a Jill of All Trades and is very adaptable and a fast learner. She has worked for companies with high customer service standards such as Disney, Nordstrom, and Cheesecake Factory, and has frequently held positions of management or as a trainer. She has worked with children teaching them acting and science in after school programs and in performing arts schools.
René is passionate about writing, traveling and is an avid shutterbug who photographs everything, much to the dismay of all her cloud storage plans. She loves discovering and learning new things, assisting people to be their best selves, performing, meeting new people, finding new ways to do things, and solving problems. She has an Associates Degree in Sociology which has definitely added to both her curiosity and understanding of people.
Together with her husband, René operates Andelon Productions focused on film and video production, and was a part the very successful viral campaign run “Fun Size Horror Project” and served on the Board of Directors for The 2014 Big Bear International Film Festival, which was an overwhelming success for their 15th Anniversary year.
René is from California originally and currently resides in Portland, Oregon with her husband Curtis, and dog Arlo Huckleberry Hound, and can be found reading, writing, singing, hiking, visiting food trucks, or drawing in her spare time.
