Why did you choose to be a VA and why does this lifestyle work for you?

Being a VA allows me to authentically connect with clients while providing flexibility for the other important aspects of my life. I have a great work-life balance and feel that my professional work as a VA is truly impactful for my small business clients.

What made you choose Trusty Oak?

Trusty Oak has fostered a wonderful VA community, and because of that I feel incredibly supported and able to comfortably ask for help or advice, which is unique. I was also drawn to the emphasis on continuing education and the transparency of the corporate team.

What’s your superpower?

I streamline processes to create efficient business systems.

Describe your favorite place to work from.

I love that I can work from anywhere! I love to travel and so have worked from international locations like Kenya, which was awesome, and from my in-law’s guest room in Mississippi, which was a great way to facilitate an extended family visit.

What is your top program/app that makes your life easier as a VA?

Flodesk is amazing for customer-facing communication, and Dropbox is fantastic for interoffice data sharing.

What hobbies or interests do you enjoy?

In my free time I love to travel, do adventure sports like scuba diving and camping, and bake sweet treats

Describe your dream client.

My dream client is disorganized (to start off with)! I work well with clients who enjoy steady and predictable deadlines, who communicate directly, and who have big organizational goals. I thrive doing behind-the-scenes projects.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In five years I hope to be supporting clients in creative ways while embracing new technologies.

Describe your perfect day off.

My perfect day off is an early start, a hot tea and a quick breakfast, and a challenging hike to a beautiful waterfall or vista.

Thank you for sharing, Allie!
