Emily Baggarly — Creative Assistant
Emily is a versatile virtual assistant specializing in content creation, video/podcast editing, and CRM management (notably Honeybook). With strong project management skills and social media expertise, she delivers efficient and creative support across digital and administrative tasks.
Emily developed her diverse skill set through hands-on work with multiple start-ups—including her own business for website design—and continuous learning.
In her free time, you can find Emily snuggling her puppy Winnie, reading fantasy books, or performing as a professional dancer. Fun fact: She’s even certified in puppy CPR and first aid!
Why did you choose to be a VA, and why does this lifestyle work for you?
As a young adult pursuing many dreams, I chose to be a virtual assistant because it would allow me to manage a diverse range of tasks across multiple industries – which keeps things interesting and fulfilling while I pursue my other passions, such as performing. I love being able to set my own hours and having the freedom to work from anywhere!
What made you choose Trusty Oak?
My teacher Erin Wilson used to be a VA for Trusty Oak and suggested that I give it a try! Erin is a wonderful person, and everyone I’ve met from Trusty Oak is wonderful! Great community, even online, is very important to me in a work environment.
What’s your superpower?
My superpower is my ability to understand the big picture (goals, branding, user experience) and the small details (design aesthetics, functionality, visuals). I can take a client’s vision and transform it into a practical, beautiful online experience that drives results.
Describe your favorite place to work from.
My favorite place to work from is my desk at home with my puppy Winnie in my lap!
What is your top program/app that makes your life easier as a VA?
There are definitely a few, but Canva is probably my most used tool. I often do creative work as a VA and small business owner, so Canva makes my life much easier.
What hobbies or Interests do you enjoy?
I love to read books! I am in my Romantasy era right now (Sarah J Maas fan right here!). Last year, I read 93 books! I am also an event supervisor for Puppy Yoga on the weekends and enjoy meeting so many adorable puppies. Fun fact: I am pet first aid and CPR certified!
Describe your dream client.
My dream client is the owner of a woman-owned business that is in the wellness or coaching industry. I would be doing creative projects like social graphics or podcast editing for them and supporting them with admin to help their business run smoothly!
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I hope to be a girl boss managing my own successful small business while continuing to bring smiles to people’s faces through my work in entertainment. And probably also surrounded by dachshunds.
Describe your perfect day off.
My perfect day off would be spending time with my puppy Winnie and my partner Tru, going to a bookstore to get a new book, hosting a fun, themed party with my friends, and daydreaming about my next creative project. 🙂
