“Better a little which is well done, than a great deal imperfectly.” – Plato
Tessa is originally from Oregon, where she grew up surrounded by passionate theatre-makers and artists. She attended the University of Southern California and graduated with a BA in Theatre with an Acting Emphasis. While at USC, Tessa worked for the premiere donor organization on campus, the USC Associates. Here, she developed a passion for fundraising, donor relations, and nitty-gritty detail work. Tessa’s desire for a job well done on the first try led to her spearheading projects in gift prospecting and overhauling the digital membership files. Tessa’s background in the collaborative nature of theatre has also given her the necessary experience to find creative solutions flexibly.
In addition to working in donor relations, Tessa has spent much of her time in the restaurant industry as a server, barista, and in the office of a burgeoning corporation. In her last job at a prominent restaurant, Tessa was the Guest Services representative, handling the high volume of written and verbal communication between guests and the restaurant. She successfully converted her part-time role into a full-time operation that effectively catered to guests’ needs while adhering to the established standards of the restaurant. She introduced new software for efficient request management, organized holiday events, updated hosts, served as event liaison, and worked with Tripleseat software. She is highly aware of client concerns, aims to resolve problems smoothly and quickly, and always provides the best service before and during a client’s experience. Tessa seeks to tackle new challenges and relishes any opportunity to learn and grow in her work.
As a virtual assistant, Tessa has honed her niche for Executive Assistant duties. She is extremely adept at calendar management, scheduling, and being the boundary keeper for overworked executives. She has learned how to use Canva and Powerpoint for design purposes, is familiar with Hubspot, and knows that a little research can go a long way.
When not working as a virtual assistant, Tessa continues to pursue her dreams of being an actor. She can be found doing freelance Voiceover work, reading a book, and singing to her heart’s content (and her neighbors’ chagrin).
