With more than 20 years of experience across television production, marketing, hospitality, and event production, Amy has refined her planning, design, and consulting skills. She has produced events for major companies like Target, HealthPartners, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Major League Baseball, the Minnesota Vikings, and the James Beard Foundation, as well as many luxury weddings and mitzvahs nationwide. She has also provided consulting services for hospitality, catering, and nonprofit organizations throughout the Twin Cities.
Amy’s Trusty Oak Story
Like many businesses, Amy employed several full-time team members prior to COVID but switched to contractors afterward. However, finding consistent, high-quality workers proved challenging until a friend referred her to Trusty Oak.
When we first met Amy, she was looking for an executive assistant to help manage spreadsheets, budgets, and payments for her events business. She needed someone with spreadsheet expertise, a high level of communication, quick learning abilities, and an outgoing, energetic personality.
Amy was matched with seasoned VA Amanda Boyd in February 2024, and their working relationship has flourished ever since. Amanda supports Amy Zaroff Events + Design by acting as the day-to-day client services manager and providing operational support. She handles tasks such as event orders, billing and payment coordination, Asana implementation and management, SOP documentation, and communication between clients and vendors.
Amy initially planned to utilize a VA for about 20 hours per month, leaving room to grow. Almost a year later, she now relies on Amanda’s diverse skill set for 60 hours per month.
