Why did you choose to be a VA and why does this lifestyle work for you?

I chose the VA lifestyle because, after years spent in depressing corporate office jobs, I finally figured out that I need freedom to thrive.

What made you choose Trusty Oak?

One of my best friends told me about Trusty Oak. She seemed so excited and happy with her work, and I wanted to find that same feeling. I had never worked anywhere that I would tell someone “You have to apply! I just love it here!” Now I’ve had that feeling for six years.

What’s your superpower?

My superpower is the Power of Positivity. I can do it. If I can’t, I’ll figure it out.

Describe your favorite place to work from.

I love working from my cozy condo in Charleston, SC with my pittie snoring on the couch next to me.

What is your top program/app that makes your life easier as a VA?

Trello – I use it every single day, and I have introduced several clients to its ease of use and amazing organizational possibilities.

What hobbies or interests do you enjoy?

My favorite thing to do is read – nothing else compares! I’m on Book #7 for 2024.

Describe your dream client.

My dream client is a #bosslady who runs her own business and trusts me to make her life easier. I’ve been lucky enough to have TWO long-term clients just like that. They both inspired me to learn more & keep pushing forward in my career but also take care of myself and always make time for family and friends.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Career-wise, I see myself still working with Trusty Oak. Personally, I’ll probably be online shopping for dog pajamas.

Describe your perfect day off.

I wake up to the smell of coffee brewing, pour myself a cup, and head out to the balcony to read my book. After that, a long walk on the beach with my dog. Maybe a nap, definitely a glass of wine with a friend, and then finish out the day on my couch watching an episode of the Golden Girls. Perfection!
