About Katie

Katie Hay earned her Bachelors of Arts in Marketing Communications and a Minor in Fine Arts from Roosevelt University Chicago, having studied digital communications. With five years of experience growing small businesses, particularly in the non-profit, hospitality, and customer service industries, Katie has built a strong set of cross-functional skills including business management, social media strategy, and content creation. She’s an ambitious professional who is passionate about community and everything creative – especially brand storytelling, streamlining processes, event coordination, visual communication, and design. 

While she loves being an idea-person, she realizes being a follow-through person is even better. Whether it’s an email, social media post, or what a person answering the phone should say, she cares about the details. Katie revels in new challenges and strives to always put her best foot forward. Her success comes from a combination of her hard work and talent but would be nowhere without the teams she’s worked with and those she’s learned from. Because of this, she takes her craft seriously and works hard to consistently grow and learn new things. 

When she’s not working to make others’ dreams come to life, you can find Katie illustrating and dreaming up the next design for her handmade tufted rugs that she sells. She finds inspiration through travel and loves to backpack her way through different countries. Katie’s a jack of all trades and believes that magic is achieved when you bring community and creativity to every aspect of life.
