Client Spotlight—Choir

Meet Trusty Oak Client, Choir!

In a world where DE&I can sometimes be an afterthought, Choir stands out as an authentic and transformative force. Choir confronts underrepresentation in industries like tech, finance, and media by amplifying the voices of people of color, women, and non-binary professionals. Through its diversity-tech platform and event certification and support services, Choir helps event planners create genuinely inclusive events where professionals from historically sidelined populations are well represented on stage. Founded by Sonya Dreizler and Liv Gagnon, two visionaries united by a passion for equity and inclusion, Choir merges their deep expertise in business development, financial services, and media relations to drive their mission forward.

Choir’s approach is both innovative and practical. They provide multiple ways for event organizers to design inclusive events, including their data-driven Conference Diversity Certification program. Choir also provides guided support, planning tools, and metrics-driven reporting to ensure events can be beacons of diversity.

Choir’s tech platform, Voices™, bridges the gap between diverse professionals seeking visibility and event organizers and media. Voices™ offers an easy way for journalists, conference organizers, and corporate content creators to find diverse sources and fresh, impactful speakers. On the flip side, Voices™ provides media & speaking training and resources for people of color, women, and nonbinary professionals to boost their skills and promote themselves for speaking, media, and corporate marketing opportunities. It’s a win-win!

Sonya and Liv began working with Trusty Oak in the summer of 2022. As a two-person startup, the founders were looking to reduce their time on administrative tasks, focus their efforts on client-facing activities, and further develop their services and offerings.

Choir has worked with multiple VAs at Trusty Oak to support their operations and marketing activities. Their primary VA, Barakallah Owolabi, is based in Pennsylvania and has been a Trusty Oak VA for two years. Barakallah serves as the Operations Coordinator for Choir, providing important, behind-the-scenes work for the company. She manages the administrative side of conference certifications, conducts research and data collection, supports operational documentation, and helps drive project management so that Liv and Sonya stay aligned and focused on their top priorities.

At Trusty Oak, we see Choir as more than just a company – it’s a testament to the power of vision, determination, and the unyielding belief in the value of diverse voices and perspectives. We are honored to partner with such an amazing organization and support its mission through delegation support.

📣 Connect with Media & Conference Organizers: If you’re a person of color, a woman, or a non-binary professional, Choir is offering friends of Trusty Oak a 20% discount on the first year of an Essentials or Pro Membership to Voices™. Use code LIVFRIEND20 and sign up on their website.
