This week’s VA we’re spotlighting is Kristen Rattanamongkhoune.
Kristen Rattanmongkhoune – Executive Assistant and Editor Extraordinaire
Kristen has a natural aptitude for proofreading and has an inability to read without keying in on grammatical and spelling errors. She’s edited four books for publication and many blogs, emails, and social media posts for clients. She has helped coaches and entrepreneurs across the globe. She will undoubtedly help you, too.
Let’s hear from Kristen about her expertise and why she enjoys being a Trusty Oak VA.
Why did you choose to be a VA and why does this lifestyle work for you?
Based on my background as an administrative professional, becoming a VA was the perfect way to transition from working in an office to becoming a work from home mom. As a VA, I am able to form a partnership with the clients I work with, make my own schedule, and have time to be a present mom and homeschool my children.
What made you choose Trusty Oak?
A friend of mine recommended that I work with Trusty Oak since she had a great experience as a VA with Trusty Oak. I believe that Trusty Oak has given me a chance to expand my skillset and work with clients I wouldn’t have met otherwise.
What’s your superpower?
I am a super-editor. I can’t read anything without naturally proofreading and editing.
Describe your favorite place to work from.
Most days I’m sitting on my couch working while my kids play, nap, or do schoolwork nearby.
What is your top program/app that makes your life easier as a VA?
I cannot get through a single day as a VA without checking my ClickUp. It’s where I track anything and everything that is assigned to me by clients, including recurring tasks, as well as things for my personal life that I don’t want to forget.
What hobbies or Interests do you enjoy?
I am a big fan of knitting and crocheting, as well as reading. Last year, I read over 150 books, and couldn’t help but email several authors to let them know about errors so they could update their ebooks. I also have a homeschool blog and usually publish a new post each week.
